Living A Difficult Life

Following a scare last spring when I thought some dental work might have caused an infection of my artificial heart value I threw myself into the embrace of the medical community and was subjected to just about every test known to man.

Last week I got the great news that my colonoscopy and endoscopy exams were 100 per cent perfect which means at 67 I’m pretty good to go for the next decade or so.

So now with no medical issues to hinder me I’ve been considering…well….what now?adamphillips_missingout

One of the places I get to visit on Monday mornings is the brain pickings site. It is a treat to read and focuses on the big issues in life.

So while I’m perfecting my downward dog, I’m not neglecting my thinking processes.

This week’s musings are on the gap between the person we are and the person we used to be and even the person who we might become and how this creates pain, anxiety, envy and humiliation. 🙂

This is my light Monday morning reading.
